Method Of Application:

• Clean the required surface to ensure there is no loose material or contamination before coating.
• Moisten the surface adequately prior to application.
• Also allow surface water to evaporate. In case of sunken slabs in toilets, bathrooms, extend the coat by 1 - 1.5 feet above the floor finish level.
• Allow the first coat to dry for 4 to 5 hours, apply the second coat and allow it to dry for 48 hours. (a fibre net cloth must be sandwiched between 2 successive coats especially in the cracks of asbestos sheets).
• Protect the coating from getting damaged by overlaying it with 15mm cement sand mortar.

Coverage:

• 15-20 sq.ft./kg for 2 coats 200 to 300 microns DFT depending on the condition of the substrate

• Away from direct sunlight

Shelf Life:

• 12 months from manufacture

Method Of Application:

• Surface penetration: All new cement-sand plasters / concrete surfaces should be allowed to cure for 6-8 weeks before surface coating. Clean the surface thoroughly. Remove all laitance, loose material, oil, grease, etc. by mechanical means such as by wire brushing and light grit blasting. Vacuum cleaning may be necessary in some cases. Any visible surface cracks up to 5mm wide should be filled using Kem Crackfill 51. Cracks more than 5 mm wide and separation gaps should be filled using Kem Bond 50, Kem Bond 76 or as specified.
• Priming: Prime the surface with Kem Proof 87 diluted with potable water by volume in 2:1 ratio (2 parts Kem Proof 87 and 1 part water) and allow it to dry for 2 - 3 hours. 
• Application: Use Kem Proof 87 directly from the container. Stir contents well before use. Apply up to 4 coats. Each coat can be applied at 300 - 400 microns WFT. The total thickness shall be around 1.5mm 2 (1500 microns). The application rate is typically 0.55 - 0.9 kg/m per coat. Curing: The coated surface should be air cured for minimum 7 days.

Precautions:

• Do not dilute Kem Proof 87. 
• Do not apply when ambient temperature is below 10 C or above 45 C. Do not apply in windy or dusty conditions.
• Do not apply in direct sunlight or during rains. Adhesion property may get affected over poor quality putty and very smooth surfaces.

Storage:

• Store in accordance with national regulations. The product should be kept in a cool and well ventilated place, protected from heat and direct sunlight. Containers must be tightly closed. Stir the contents before use.

Safety:

• On skin contact: Wash skin with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothes.
• On eye contact: Immediately splash eyes with plenty of water. Consult a physician if irritation persists.
• On ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Do not give anything to swallow to an unconscious person. Call a physician.
